Designed as. a scantily dressed seated on the rocky seashore, her locks flowing behind her, a large shell at her feet, on a shaped circular base, shape number 245,

This model was shown by Minton at the Great Exhibition of 1851. The factory made it for the Art Union of London over a long period. The Miranda in question is the Shakespearean heroine from The Tempest.
