Although it is known that Dresser supplied designs for French companies, certainly no records to date have come to light showing any solid evidence of Dresser supplying designs to any French ceramic manufacturers, however, this planter shows all of Dresser's style and aesthetic sympathies both in shape and decoration. The question still remains, is this a true Dresser design or a design produced by a keen follower of his work.
