Shorter & Boulton Majolica 'Atlantic' Pattern jug c.1881

Height: 16cm(6.5inches)

The rounded bottomed body decorated with fish, shells and seaweed amongst the waves against a cobalt blue ground and a sky blue pebbled neck and spout bordered by rope, with a square sectioned handle with inset rope. 

The 'Atlantic jug' design was registered by Shorter & Boulton on November 23rd, 1881 ( design number:373707 ).
