Adams & Bromley Majolica Apple & Pears Pattern Side Plate c.1875
Length:16.5cm (6. inches)
The circular plate tray decorated as brown bark with designs with apples, pears and leaves on the branch.
Crisp modelling and bright majolica glazes.
Adams & Bromley produced several Majolica patterns with titles such as 'Corn', 'Geranium', 'Water Lily', 'Apple and Pears'.
The Adams & Bromley Apple and Pears design was very popular in the 19th century. They produced a whole range of items in this pattern, tea sets, water jugs, dessert plates, bread trays, condiments, etc.
A collection of Adams and Bromley bread trays and plates make great wall displays or shelf displays. A single majolica bread tray makes a great centre of a shelf to display other circular majolica plates around.
